Creeps

Small, cute,
carrying snacks

The villains' minions carry odds and ends: charms, potions, snacks. Cut them down and pick up what they drop. New kinds show up as you travel, and each region dresses them differently.

Color means buff

The color and the little icon on a creep's head tell you which buff family it drops. Beat it, then pick one of three.

Heal

Heals you or adds armor hearts.

Heal, Regen, Lifesteal, Beefy

Sword

Makes parrying easier for a while.

Wide Sword, Hawk Eye, Bubble, Quick Sword

Counter

Makes your returns hit harder or wider.

Hard Counter, Split Shot, Thorns, Pierce

Break

Breaks the boss's posture faster.

Smash, Posture Break, Deep Stun, Posture Lock

Jelly

The everyday minion. Waddles straight at you, one cut and it drops its buff.

Bat flock

Three tiny flyers weaving side to side. One cut each, weak bite.

Ghost

Ghost

Fades in and out. Only hittable, and only dangerous, while solid.

Dasher

Small, quick, with wind streaks. Do not let it slip past.

Helmet

A steel helmet takes the first hit. Worth it: it always drops something.

Bomb

Lights its fuse when it gets close. Cut it early or jump the blast.

Image soon

Splitter

Has a crack down the middle. Cut it and it becomes two smaller, faster ones.

Archer

Stops at a distance and shoots arrows before walking in. Arrows can be parried.

Shield bearer

A tall shield covers its front. Get it from the side.

Charger

Stops, flashes red, then dashes through. Jump it, then cut it on the way back.

Healer

Floats near the boss and patches it up. A reflected shot sends it home.

Mimic

Looks exactly like a buff drop. Until it wakes up with teeth.

In PvP duels you will also meet spike creeps: hit them with the ball to earn a buff.
